Missy Grace Develops Pelvic Stabilization Protocol

Missy Grace Oleaga: A few years after launching my professional massage therapy practice, I realized that the clients I was seeing needed a different method used to relieve their low back pain.  It seemed that most everyone who was referred to me suffered from chronic low back issues at that time.

Although I completed my Insight Acupressure Certifications and used the protocols we were given, the sciatica and/or pain in the lumbar region wasn’t always completely relieved.  It was then that I began matching their leg length and a new protocol came to light.  Keeping with the insight of our specific style of touch and the use of the super 36 acupoints, a new protocol was developed.  Deviating away from the usual method of performing the protocol, I measured the amount of change in leg length and use multiple leg pulls/releases throughout the session.

This work that I’ve created stems from my Acupressure experience as well as work with Paul St. John and Jan Koch.

Important Notes

The leg pull will give the practitioner a clue as to where energy is stuck within the body of the client.

After each leg pull, I reevaluate what is needed or out of balance and that determines the next step.

What’s below, also above.  It is always a good idea to check the shoulders as well since the pelvis and shoulders are considered girdles.  When there is restriction in one, it can restrict the movement of the other.

As a massage therapist since 1992, I also find the muscle tightness or possible cause of the chronic condition and relieve that as well (by..using this protocol that I’ve developed — The Pelvic Stabilization Protocol.

Also included in this class is a painless and non-invasive method of releasing the psoas muscle.
